After hearing great reviews from several of our guests, Dee and I decided to go and see Le Grand Cirque at the Kings Castle Theater Monday night. We enjoyed it greatly and are planning to take our kids and grand kids to see it when they are in town next month. The show mixes comedy and some very difficult and impressive acts like we’ve never seen before. The most impressive were the “Wheel of Death” and the motorcycles in a steel globe. Both are hard to describe, you’ll just have to see the show which we highly recommend for both adults and children.
Visitors to Branson just don’t want to miss this show.
The Rankin Brothers continue to wow audiences with a two-hour show packed with top hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, gospel, country, rock and roll, and instrumentals. You name it, they do it, and they do it extremely well—totally live (full live band backup, no recorded background music). Dee and I got to see them when they first came to Branson several years ago. We thought they were top notch then and they’ve just kept getting better.
Now in the Yakov Theater they are, in our opinions, a “must see” show. If you grew up anywhere between the mid 50’s to 1990 you’ll hear the music you love.

We got a chance to see a preview of an excellent new show coming to Branson beginning April 2014. They are the Fair Family who are opening a new morning show at the Hamner’s Variety Theater. We were entertained by five wonderful voices and talented musicians performing a wide variety of music. Jacob, Jonathan, Sarah, Daniel, and Nathaniel include in their show selections from country, gospel, patriotic, a cappella, pop, top 40 and oldies. They also dance, clog, and are very gifted musicians playing several different instruments. It’s wonderful to see this young new talent come to Branson and we expect them to do very well. Give them a try!

Dee and I had the wonderful opportunity last night to attend the Branson premier of Sight and Sound theater’s “Jonah.” To use an overworked expression, “It was awesome” in every way from visual, music, message, humor, and fun. In our humble opinions Jonah is the best yet of the shows at Sight and Sound, and that’s a very very high bar. Our audience gave the show a sustained and rousing standing ovation at the end and even some of the visual effects brought loud and enthusiastic applause. As we walked out of the theater we could overhear conversation after conversation about how wonderful the show was.
Everyone just has to put this show on their Branson bucket list. You will come out amazed at the grandness of more than the production but of our God. The show is a portrayal of one of the most interesting but least understood books and characters in the Bible. Please don’t miss this show as you’ll be challenged as well as entertained. Here’s a link to the show’s trailer.
